The University of Mogi das Cruzes started its activities in 1964 as a Philosophy, Sciences and Literature Faculty, being recognized as a University in 1973, as the 2nd private institution in the country and in the state of São Paulo. Nowadays, the institution develops teaching, research and extension activities in two campi: its headquarters in Mogi das Cruzes, with three units, and the São Paulo campus, with more two units.
