In Brazil since 1964, Carbocloro SA Chemical Industries - a company that belongs to Unipar group and Occidental Chemical Corporation - is a leading supplier of chlorine for water treatment in Brazil and produces raw materials that serve as the basis for important segments of Brazilian industry. Carbocloro’s products are key components for the manufacture of paper, glass, soap, detergent, medicine, plastic, aluminum, food, beverages, textiles, among others, and to water and sewage treatment. Carbocloro accounts for 33% of the domestic liquid chlorine and 26% of the market of caustic soda. It also has 88% share of hydrochloric acid market and 62% of sodium hypochlorite market.
